Aguero scores his 100th PL goal!

Sergio Aguero scored his 100th Premier League goal with opener for Manchester City against Newcastle on Tuesday night

He became the 25th player to score 100 goals in the Premier League when he headed home Manchester City's opener against Newcastle.

The Argentine, who scored his first on his debut for the club in August 2011, glanced home Aleksandar Kolarov's inviting free-kick after 14 minutes.

The 27 year-old has reached the landmark in only his 147th league game for the club, making him the second fastest to the feat behind Alan Shearer.

Aguero arrived at the Etihad Stadium in July 2011 from Atletico Madrid, having plundered 101 goals in 234 games for the La Liga club.

Roberto Mancini was the man in charge who sanctioned the £38million move for Diego Maradona's son-in-law, and was instantly rewarded by the Argentine hot-shot.

Aguero made his Premier League debut on August 15, 2011 as a second-half substitute for Nigel de Jong. He had prolific opening campaign in England, in which he scored 23 times in 34 appearances, was bookended by the dramatic 95th winner against QPR which snatched the title away from Manchester United on the final day.

Alan Shearer is the only player to have reached the 100-goal mark in the Premier League in less games than Aguero, having achieved the feat in just 124 matches in the 1990s.
Former Arsenal striker Henry is third in the list, having scored his first 100 goals in 160 games.
