Wakaso joins UD Las Palmas on loan.

Ghana Black Stars player Mubarak Wakaso has completed a loan move from parent club Rubin Kazan to Spanish La Liga new boys UD Las Palmas as he hope to re-ignite his footballing potentials.

Wakaso spent last season also on loan at Celtic in Scotland where he managed to put in some superb performances both in Domestic and European fixtures.

Earlier reports suggested that the Ghanian out-field player had had medicals in Italy prior to a move to Saudi outfit Al Ittihad FC but it seems the deal suddenly fell through due to some financial disagreements which caused both parties to part ways.

This is what he had to say :

“I have come to UD because it is a big club in Spain,” Wakaso said at his unveiling on Monday.

“I am here to help the team and do great things.I will train well in order to get minutes [in game time].

“I'm in a good moment in my career. I think it's good for my future coming here.”

Palmas’ director general Toni Cruz added: “We appreciate the efforts of Wakaso to come to Las Palmas and also their agents.

“For us, it was one of those opportunities that arise once in a lifetime.

“The player is very versatile and can play in any position [in] midfield and even play on the wings.

“It gives us a leap in quality for speed [and] aggressiveness in the game.”
