Jose Mourinho responds to the accusation by rival's wife that Rafa Benitez "tidies up his messes" with a remarkable attack.

Mourinho responded to the accusation that Benitez "tidies up his messes" with a remarkable attack, also insisting that the Spaniard wrecked his Inter Milan team.

Benitez's wife Montserrat Seara made the remark in Spanish newspaper La Region, claiming that her husband has spent much of his managerial career clearing up the work of Mourinho at Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

But the Chelsea manager hit back wth a devastating riposte and told her to concentrate on Benitez's weight.

"The lady is a bit confused, with all respect. I'm not laughing. She is confused because her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti," he said.

"The only club where her husband replaced me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time.

"And for her also to think about me and to speak about me, I think the lady needs to occupy her time and if she takes care of her husband's diet she will have less time to speak about me."

Benitez was appointed as Real Madrid manager this summer, two years after Mourinho departed to return to Stamford Bridge.

Mrs Benitez had said earlier: "Real Madrid are the third of Jose Mourinho's old teams Rafa has coached.
